Here is a portion of a letter that was written by the chief captain of a country's army to his commander-in-chief or the president:
"...we desire to know the cause of this exceedingly great neglect and to know the cause of your thoughtless state. I fear exceedingly that the judgements of God will come upon this people, because of their exceeding slothfulness, and the slothfulness of our government.
...Do you suppose that God will look upon you as guiltless while you sit still and behold these things? No....remember that God has said that the inward vessel (even the great head of our government) shall be cleansed first, and then shall the outer vessel be cleansed also.
...I am Moroni...I seek not for power, but to pull it down. I seek not for honor of the world, but for the glory of my God and the freedom and welfare of my country!"
This was written about 62 BC in ancient America. Moroni quickly learned that his commander-in-chief had not been a traitor or slothful, but had been kicked out by men who wanted a KING. In fact they were called king-men and was doing everything they could to destroy the freedom and liberty of the people so they could have power.
This is what we are facing today in America. It is critical that we vote out all those in leadership positions who are wanting a "king" and seeking for power over the people instead of our constituitional republic.
We must begin by cleaning our OWN inner vessels by repenting and become a holy people and then clean the inner vessels of our nation, states and cities by voting for those who will stand up for freedom and liberty.

Ask for Forgiveness and then Do Better!
I believe many Americans are alot like I am... or WAS. I worked hard, was self reliant and didn't depend on anyone but my husband and I to care for our family. I love my country and I can't imagine living anywhere else in the world and realize how blessed we are.
However, if you were like me, you were trusting that everyone else felt the same way you did especially those government leaders that you elected. You didn't care about politics because you may have found it "boring" and/or you didn't have much time to follow it because you are trying to provide for your family. You trusted that they were doing what you would do to keep our great nation great!
We all know we no longer have that luxury. In fact, we have dropped the ball and need to repent and ask for forgiveness. Why are we here today and facing the challenges we are now facing? Because we fell asleep and didn't keep vigilant watch over freedom, liberty and who really was at the helm and which direction they were leading us.
Now we do; and a sleeping giant has been awakened...but is it too late? Starting now we need to really find those leaders who love and believe in the Constituition and America like we do! Patriot Samuel Langdon gave a speech in 1788 that instructed us about who we elect to lead in any level of government. He said:
"On the people, therefore, of these United States, it depends whether wise men, or fools, good or bad men, shall govern...be careful in the choice of your representatives! Fix your eyes upon men of good understanding and known honesty; men of knowledge, improved by experience; men who fear God and hate covetousness; who love truth and righteousness....Let not men openly irreligious and immoral become your legislators...If the legistlative body are corrupt, you will soon have bad men for counselors, corrupt judges, unqualified justices, and officers in every department who will dishonor their stations....Never give countenance to turbulent men, who wish to distinguish themselves and rise to power by forming combinations and exciting insurrections against government....It is a debt you owe to your children."
Begin now to research, study and find out as much as you can about those running in this years elections. Find those who will STAND UP and are not afraid to fight for those things that you believe in. It is critical that we remove those who have betrayed us, our country and our Constitution and replace them with leaders who are on OUR side!

The Ten Commandments
I have been reading in the Old Testament this year and this morning read Exodus Chapters 18- 20. In Chapter 19 the Lord reminds Moses of everything he has done for the Children of Israel and promises him that if they are obedient to his commandments they will become a holy nation.
The people agree that they will do all that the Lord asks of them. The Lord then instructs Moses to have the people sanctify themselves and wash their clothes (repent and become clean)in order to prepare to hear his commandments. They do and in Chapter 20 those commandements are given.
As I read through those commandments I wondered "Why do some citizens want to see those commandments removed from our buildings? Don't they see that we should be protesting that they be placed in MORE places." Why? Lets review them:
ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'
TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'
THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'
FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'
FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'
SIX: 'You shall not murder.'
SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'
EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'
NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'
TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'
Like the Children of Israel, we too need to humble ourselves, repent and recognize that we have not been obedient. We too need to REMEMBER all that God has done for us and our nation.

Can you imagine if these laws were PROMOTED and displayed more to help remind us instead of removed and replaced with laws and regulations in order to "fix" those who break these laws?
Wouldn't it just be easier to promote the LAW, TEACH the people and ENCOURAGE these to be lived in our communities? I believe that could have a greater effect and CHANGE (did you hear that Obama) then anything else.
And now, as the preaching of the word had a great tendency to lead the people to do that which was just—yea, it had had more powerful effect upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else, which had happened unto them—Alma 31:5

FAST FOR AMERICA DECEMBER 6TH!
Our country is CHANGING! Change that could be unalterable and have a ripple effect on all our freedoms!
This Sunday December 6th has been designated for ALL citizens of this great country as a day to fast and pray for AMERICA! We must humble ourselves and turn to the Lord to ask to guard our freedoms and constituition.
D&C 98:4-9
And now, verily I say unto you concerning the laws of the land, it is my will that my people should observe to do all things whatsoever I command them.
And that law of the land which is constitutional, supporting that principle of freedom in maintaining rights and privileges, belongs to all mankind, and is justifiable before me.
Therefore, I, the Lord, justify you, and your brethren of my church, in befriending that law which is the constitutional law of the land;
And as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this, cometh of evil.
I, the Lord God, make you free, therefore ye are free indeed; and the law also maketh you free.
Nevertheless, when the wicked rule the people mourn.
